Judy Tenuta is the most famous person who has ever lived...and if you don't believe it, just ask her. She's had her own stand-up specials on Showtime, HBO and Lifetime. Judy was the first female stand-up comic to win "Best Female Comedian" at the American Comedy Awards and is a two-time Grammy nominee for her comedy CDs. The self-described "Love Goddess" and "Aphrodite of the Accordion" now offers her own unique take on life in a new book entitled "Full Frontal Tenudity". A collection of recipes for food, friends and fun! A kind of “chicken soup for your crotch”, Judy declares. The Well Pennies are an indie folk/pop duo consisting of husband and wife team, Bryan & Sarah Vanderpool. With a sound that blends 60's folk, 70's pop and a little Americana, The Well Pennies strive for a vibe that is new and old at the same time; taking influence from Feist, Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine and Nickel Creek. In our return from the annual Vegas trip (and subsequent recovery period), we present part one of our no-holds barred conversation with a true American outlaw, author David C. Fuller. David's book is titled Meth Monster: Crankin' thru life A look into the abyss of an American drug pandemic. Born one of the people your mother warned you about, David was lost in place for 25 years under the influence of meth, breaking all the rules for fun and profit. The consummate loner, even when with someone, acqainted with many, known by and knowing no one. Riding the downward spiral of extreme drug use and meth addiction all the way to the bottom before giving up and getting clean. Staggering thru years of repressed depression and the mental dead zone that meth withdrawl brings. Finally after 12 years clean being able to tell the world about the all consuming vaccuum of meth addiction and the life and lives wasted in pursuit of that eternal buzz. Providing music for this episode, is an awesome hard rock band out of Seattle, Washington named Fill The Silence. To find out more about D.C. Fuller, you can look him up on Facebook and Twitter For more about the music of Fill The Silence, check out www.fillthesilence.com.
