*NEW* S3.E8 - Kristen Becker featuring music from American Aquarium

Comedian Kristen Becker is screamingly funny. Her wide-ranging comedy is rowdy, political, personal, intelligent, and unrelentingly honest. Becker consistently wins the hearts of all audiences with her unapologetic humor. Her childhood, divided between the rust belt and the deep south, has left her uniquely able to connect with all manner of people. Becker’s ability to win the affection of such a wide range of audiences is due to her understated southern charm juxtaposed against a raucous and powerful persona. She is truly a comic of the people. www.kristenbecker.com | Hailing from Raleigh, NC, American Aquarium’s southern musical perspective is a blend of honest songwriting, an unwavering work ethic, and a genuine love of rock & roll. Whether you call it alt-country, Americana, or roots rock, one thing is for certain: Their music is a fresh voice that borrows from many forms of the American songbook. www.americanaquarium.net

Graham Elwood has been a stand-up comic since he was 18. He has performed in clubs and colleges across the country and starred in five USO tours to Afghanistan and Iraq. Graham hosted the game shows “Cram” for Game Show Network and “Strip Poker” for the USA Network. You can find all of Graham Elwood's merch and mischief through www.comedyfilmnerds.com. For more from SMB project, check out www.smbproject.com

S3.EP6 - Judy Tenuta with music from The Well Pennies

Judy Tenuta is the most famous person who has ever lived...and if you don't believe it, just ask her. She's had her own stand-up specials on Showtime, HBO and Lifetime.  Judy was the first female stand-up comic to win "Best Female Comedian" at the American Comedy Awards and is a two-time Grammy nominee for her comedy CDs. The self-described "Love Goddess" and "Aphrodite of the Accordion" now offers her own unique take on life in a new book entitled "Full Frontal Tenudity". A collection of recipes for food, friends and fun! A kind of “chicken soup for your crotch”, Judy declares.  The Well Pennies are an indie folk/pop duo consisting of husband and wife team, Bryan & Sarah Vanderpool. With a sound that blends 60's folk, 70's pop and a little Americana, The Well Pennies strive for a vibe that is new and old at the same time; taking influence from Feist, Sufjan Stevens, Iron & Wine and Nickel Creek. S3.EP5 - Sean Wheelock with music from The Tins

Sean Wheelock is the play by play commentator for Bellator Fighting Championships and one of the best known commentators in Mixed Martial Arts. Over his career, Wheelock has broadcast MMA in 12 countries, including Japan, Brazil, and the Netherlands. During our conversation, Sean touches on such topics as: his feelings about working for controversial MMA executive Jerry Millen, how commentators shouldn't oversell fights, why the tournament format works, his various influences from the announcing world, and how he's actively working to help bring about change in the judging & officiating of MMA. The Tins formed in upstate New York and are currently based out of Buffalo. This Indie/pop/rock trio consists of three friends, brought together by their passion for music. Their guitar work that makes you think you’re about to drop into a good old rock n roll track, it quickly (and quirkily) adds fun keys and a fuzzy bass line that takes the song somewhere totally different; an almost perfectly seasoned musical stew. For more, check out www.thetinsmusic.com. Download their self-titled EP here: thetinsmusic.bandcamp.com. You can learn more about Sean Wheelock's Rules of MMA seminar at www.rulesofmma.com.
